In the North American market it was packaged with Squaresoft on PlayStation 1998 Collector's CD Vol.1; a collection of demos future Squaresoft games.

Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth is a Lovecraftian horror first-person action/adventure developed by Headfirst Productions and published by Bethesda Softworks in 2005, in conjunction with 2K Games. It is based on the works of H. P. Lovecraft, author of "The Call of Cthulhu" and progenitor of the Cthulhu Mythos.

Alan Wake

Alan Wake is a video game being developed by Remedy Entertainment, the Finnish company behind the Max Payne games. Alan Wake is billed as a "psychological action thriller". Microsoft Game Studios is the publisher of the game. The game is being developed exclusively for Windows Vista and Xbox 360, with a PlayStation 3 version also planned but then cancelled when Microsoft acquired publisher rights of the title.

Alone in the Dark

Alone in the Dark is a series of survival horror computer games from Infogrames. In most of the series, the gamer plays as private investigator Edward Carnby, who usually goes to investigate a haunted mansion or town that is full of undead creatures. The story is based on the writings of H. P. Lovecraft, although later games in the series drew inspiration from other sources including Voodoo, the Wild West, and the works of H.R. Giger. Though many credit the popular Resident Evil game series for creating the 3D survival horror genre, Alone In The Dark was actually the first 3D survival horror game when released for the PC in 1992.

Resident Evil is a survival horror video games series and media franchise consisting of comic books, novelizations, three Hollywood motion pictures, and a variety of collectibles, including action figures, strategy guides and publications. Developed by Capcom and created by Shinji Mikami, the game series has been influenced by George A. Romero's Dead movies and the little known NES RPG Sweet Home. The games have sold 34.5 million copies as of February 29, 2008. A computer animated film set within the series' universe is due for release in 2008, named Resident Evil Degeneration.

Clock Tower

Clock Tower is the first installment of the survival horror series Clock Tower created by Human Entertainment for the Super Famicom. The game was published by Human Entertainment and was released in Japan in 1995. It was then re-released in Japan in 1997, when it was ported to the PlayStation with some adjustments, and renamed to Clock Tower ~The First Fear~. There have also been ports to the WonderSwan, and Windows 95, both of which were released in 1999.
